Watch Out!

With today’s technology, many people are trading their wristwatch in for an IPhone, a Blackberry, or an Ipod. Are watches a thing of the past? Are they going out of style?

Of course not! Your social image is a blend of every fashion choice you make from a business suit or a casual pair of jeans all the way down to your wristwatch. Style is about selecting clothing and accessories to subtly reflect your inner being.

Be it a metal link, cloth, or leather band, the type of watch enhances your image and sends a message to others about who you are. Next time you are shopping for a watch, take notice of the shape and color of the face, the type of band, and what it says about you. Also, watch out. The bible says, “Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins” (1 Peter 4:8-9). When you are quick to judge someone walking down the street or in a business meeting, it may be a subtly accessory like a watch that sends off a negative vibe. Recognize this, move past it, and treat him or her with the respect each person deserves.
