Robert: I'll do a messenger bag but not a man bag.

Kimberly: LOL. What's the diff? Is it all in a name?

Robert: I guess the size. I never carry enough to get a man bag - like those suit case looking bags.

Kimberly: Ok. ok - So you're the keys, wallet type guy

Robert: Yeah keep it simple small wallet

Kimberly: Ok. but check it - the laptop for most men turns into a man bag for the ipod, writing pad, etc

Robert: But I can see the need for a man bag

Kimberly: Ok.

Robert: See, they do not make stylish bags for men. They have whack laptop bags.

Kimberly: My point exactly! - hence u need stylish bags for men - called 'Man Bags'. Masculine yet stylish. Your manhood remains in tact.

Robert: I'm all for the stylish bags. I'm that dude

Kimberly: Nice. Nice. You should be. You're the CEO of God Given Apparel Ministry. We need God Given "Man Bags" or..... "MESSENGER BAGS" for the business or the much traveled man.

(Gerald walks in and joins us in the discussion of "Murses")

Kimberly: What's his take on it?

Robert: He's all for it and he kindly pointed out that I have and carry a fly "Man Bag". I just think i hate the labeling. When u call it a man bag it implies that a man is not supposed to do it. It is a woman thing that a man is adopting. I guess that is why you asked me what's the difference.

Same as terms like a metro sexual. If u are a man that takes care of himself why do i now have to be redefined? When a woman carries a small wallet is it a man wallet? What are your thoughts on that?

Kimberly: LOL - I concede - u r right. This is good we might need to take this to the podium live at the 90 event. But everything has a term applied to it. So if a man carries a bag for personal as well as business purposes - what then does that make it? True a bag but specifically what kind? Certainly not a pocketbook or purse....!! Okay, you’re ready. You have your watch, your sunglasses, your keys and your “Murse.” “Murse!” Yeah…a man’s purse! At the risk of sounding too feminine many men opt to refer to it as a “Man Bag.”

This frequently worn accessory has become as common with men as boxer briefs. Whether it’s a laptop bag, messenger bag, briefcase or knapsack more and more men are finding that carrying a bag eliminates the cumbersome need to overload their pockets with gadgets and billfolds.

Has the stigma been removed?

In Luke 22:36 Jesus admonished His disciples… He said to them, "But now if you have a purse, take it, and also a bag; and if you don't have a sword, sell your cloak and buy one.

He was advising that times were changing and that they needed to be prepared. So has the “Man Bag” become just another accessory or the sign of a modern day disciple?
