What Knot to Wear

Janelle Harris - Creative Writer
The way a man ties his tie says a lot about his time and attention to detail. Most men tend to stick to the Four-in-Hand, the Windsor or the Shelby knot. Generally speaking, the larger the knot, the more steps it takes to tie it. The deciding factor is usually based on neck size and ultimately their destination. The most common “thread” of men reserve larger knots for formal occasions. And smaller knots tend to debut in less formal yet professional settings.

Whether you are a man that sticks to the rules or you are a trend-setter that refuses to follow the crowd, let the wisdom of God tell you what “knot” to wear! Proverbs 3:3 says “Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck….”

These are actually called ascot ties and they are making a huge comeback on the casual scene. Sports jacket, shirt, ascot tie, and jeans. These can be custom made however, you can find them online or at most men's clothing retailers.
