The Perfect Fit

Janelle Harris - Creative Writer
Ill fitting shoes can cause everything from bunions, hammer toes, calluses, corns and even fallen arches. As you “step out” into those fashionable spring styles be mindful of your foot health.

High heels are dominating the runway this season. Comfort appears to have taken a backseat to platformed and stacked stilettos that offer little to no insole support.

If you must take your shoe wardrobe to the “next level” don’t compromise comfort.

A right fitting shoe is like having the right church home. It provides the support you need to take you through life’s journey and it helps to preserve your “sole.”

Jeremiah 3:15 (NIV) encourages us in church home shopping … “Then I will give shepherds after my own heart, who will lead you with knowledge and understanding.”

Employing these tips will make your “sole” searching a lot easier.

As a women shoe store owner I can't agree with you more. I see the results of ill fitting shoes on a regular basis, hammer toes, bunions, etc. Most women settle for a longer shoe to accomodate the width instead of getting the right length and a wider width. Great article. If anyone you know needs help with a larger and/or wider shoe we'll be more than happy to help.

Comfort and style! I wish I could put it in a bottle or give it a brand name. I cannot lie there are many days I surrender to discomfort for the sake of being FABULOUS! (in the right pair of heels). However, I would not consider myself extreme. What is extreme! are the ladies that are having foot surgery to fit into a pair of stilettos. There are women out there having operations to shorten their toes! Some are getting Botox injections at the soles of their feet, which can cost up to a $1000.00. I love shoes but I think I am keeping my toes. God made me fabulous long toes and all.
