Spectroscope- an instrument that is used to identify gemstones. It works by determining the light waves that a stone absorbs; different stones absorb different wavelengths of light.

The color of a gem has to do with the way light reacts to their crystal. That is why you can find slight differences in fine jewelry pieces that have gemstones.

Often the Holy Spirit acts as our “spectroscope”. He can determine how much “light” we have absorbed and His convictions can change your “stoney” heart and make you shine like a gem.
