Life offers many amazing
opportunities to express on the outside, the person we are on the
inside. Shoes are a magnificent way to give a whisper or a shout of
that inside person. As I see it, there are
6 “Shoe Personalities:”
Quiet Introvert:
Prefers comfort over style. Often choose the ever popular tennis
shoe, available in multiple styles while meeting practical needs:
walking, running, cross-training…. They think a Crock shoe, is
dressing up.
Conservative
Conscientiousness:
Classic, basic, always chooses quality over quantity. Must look
clean and sharp! (My husband!)
Friendly, Agreeable:
Trendy. Doesn’t matter what they look like as long as everyone else
likes them.
Neuroticism:
Whatever the have they THINK is the best and hottest. We will skip
this one because you already know who you are and that you have the
best, the hottest…
Gregarious Extravert:
Fun, open, variety-quantity not necessary quality. Loves the flash!
Those silly ones, like myself, who are not as concerned with
comfort as they are the WOW factor! Men AND women fall into this
category—coinsurers of fine, and I do mean FINE shoes.
The Grouch:
Nothing fits. Nothing matters because it’s all wrong anyway. All
shoes are made cheap and cost a fortune so that’s why they wear the
same ragged shoes they got as a graduation gift in high school!
Aspects of each personality are a gift from God. They are woven
into us. What we allow to develop in our personality is another
gift—the gift of choice. Choice wisely the best parts: Quiet
Spirit; Conscientious, Pleasantness, Self Awareness; Playfulness;
Efficiency. These are good qualities when kept in check. Ask the
Lord for wisdom and knowledge to stay balanced. And use your energy
and effort to serve greater purposes than just you—there are
tremendous rewards in it!
