Eyes are said to be the windows to the soul. They are the first thing most people notice about another person when close enough to see the features of the face. Our eyes are one of the most non-verbal, yet communicating parts of us. The eyes speak volumes.

Eye shadow is a cosmetic that is applied on the eyelids and under the eyebrows to make the wearer's eyes stand out or look more attractive. Eye shadow when used correctly enhances the color of the iris and transforms the perceived shape of your eyes with shading and highlighting. It adds depth, dimension and complements the eye color while drawing attention to them. Example: Smoky eyes are the “premier party eyes” look. History records the use of eye shadow for as long as records have been kept. Scripture refers to eye shadow being worn in a number of places.

It is important to take precaution with one’s eyes no matter how beautiful and attractive they are. We need to be focused on not what we are looking at, but what we see when we look with those beautiful eyes. We do not want eyes of judgment, condemnation or haughtiness. Practice seeing the good and beauty in all we allow our eyes to see.
