What is a naked suit? A suit without a
fashionable pocket square. Pocket square! What is a pocket square
and why would I wear one? Debonair men who knew fashion and knew
that the breast pocket on their suit was more than a sunglass
holder!
A pocket square is a simple piece of cloth that can elevate your style from mild to spicy! When worn well, at the appropriate time, an elegant and yet simple pocket square will alert onlookers to your advanced sense of fashion. Like a tie, a pocket square is one of those small details a man has to add emphasis and character to his outfit.
And, just because you haven’t worn a pocket square doesn’t mean there aren’t occasions for one. Chance it and try it. The next time you wear a suit or sports jacket, add a simple pocket square. Finishing an outfit, a household project or the race of life is important. Jesus found finishing to be important enough that He proclaimed “It is finished” as He took his last breath on the cross. God when He had finished creation repeats a few times, “It I finished and it is good.” And Luke proclaims, in Acts 20:24 “I consider my life worth nothing to me if only I may finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me—the task of testifying to the gospel of God’s grace. Finish well.
