90degreez (November 05, 2009) --- Fashion House Academy is pleased to announce an unprecedented creative collaboration with 90degreez for Fashion House Academy – The School. FHA launches it's 9 week pilot program in November in New York, NY.

The Fashion House Academy School program is a condensed and concentrated field for the next generation of fashion designers - students between the ages of 10 and 19. Each semester is 9 weeks (9 Wednesdays) of two-hour power packed class sessions. Students will learn a myriad of fundamentals including using a sewing machine, sewing simple garments, color theory, styling and designing for a cohesive collection clothing line. The culmination of the 9-week semester will conclude with a fashion gala displaying the final projects of our students. The pilot program will launch in New York City with plans to branch out to other cities across the United States.

Students receive real industry experience and training from the Academy Board which includes professional fashion designers, wardrobe stylists, custom clothiers and visual artists. Incorporated into the FHA program are the 5 Laws of Fashion House that each student is required to learn and commit to memory; Determination, Creativity, Passion, Character and Teamwork.

90Degreez works hand-in-hand with FHA providing a dedicated online salon for FHA students to submit assignments, meet and interact outside of the classroom and engage in spirited discussions. 90Degreez brings the world inside the FHA classroom with weekly video footage of classroom highlights. “We believe our collaboration is a perfect duo marrying fashion and technology and with both FHA and 90degreez representing fashion with integrity” said Kimberly, Founder of 90degreez.
