Men’s shoes can be a considerable investment. Care of your shoes isn’t just about making them look good, though that should be incentive enough. It is also about preserving and adding extended life to your shoes. Whether you spend a lot on your shoes, or not -take care of them. When purchasing expensive designer shoes, exercise as many safeguard of your investment as possible.

There is a big distinction between caring for leather shoes, suede, exotic skins, boots or athletic shoes. To provide thorough shoe care, be sure that any products used are recommended for the type of shoes you have. Many shoe care products contain toxic chemicals that can be very harmful. Use these products in a well ventilated space. Follow these easy steps and your shoes will serve you well for longer benefits.

While some men may be totally content to slap on a fresh coat of shoe polish when their shoes start to look shabby, protecting shoes and keeping them looking nice, requires only four easy steps:

1.Clean
2.Condition
3.Polish
4.Preserve or Weatherproof

  • Keep your shoes clean and clear of grease, stains and scuff marks. Have the soles redone when needed and when possible.
  • Use only product designed specifically for the material of your shoes: Leather cleaner for leather; suede for suede etc…
  • Shoe Polish, or a Shoe Polish Alternative
  • Soft clothes for cleaning and buffing
  • Newspaper, socks or shoe shapers inside shoes when not in use
  • Whatever covering you choose for your feet, make sure they are first fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace so that you can stand strong against the schemes of evil, which will rob your joy and destroy your soul.
