There is a saying that the eyes are the window to the soul, if that is true then the eyebrows are the window treatment. Eyebrows are the single most important feature on a face. A correctly shaped eyebrow can totally change the appearance of ones face, it can take you from ordinary to Glamazon in the bat of the eye.
The evolution of the brow changed through the decades. For example in the 30's a thin round penciled in brow was all the rage . In the 80's a strong thick bushy brow was hot, thinK Brook Shields. Brows can even determine your mood, a soft natural arch represents nice and sweet. A thin high sharply arched brow can represent a sinister caracter. Different face shapes should have different shaped brows to balance out your face. A round face should have a higher defined arch to add length to the face. A square face should have a soft round eyebrow to soften the face up, a high arch will make this face look to severe. A diamond shaped face should have a lower softer arch to shorten the length of the face. An oval face should have a arch that is not to high not to low but right in the middle.
The brow map is very important to know when you are shaping the brow. The eyebrow should begin at the center of the nostril. The arch should be on the outer part of the iris. The end of the brow should be at the edge of the eye. The biggest mistake in eyebrows is over plucking it is a cardinal sin, a big no no as i would say to my toddler. But ladies don't fear if you have fallen victim it is o.k. there is life after overplucking. There are products you can buy to promote growth. I recommend Brow Gain by Damone Roberts it is a miricle I am a living witness it works it takes 6 to 8 weeks to fully grow out hairs. in the meantime brow powder is your best friend to fill in any sparse areas in the brow. With brow powder you can contour the brow to create the perfect arch. I have three examples of eyebrows.The first example is an overplucked eyebrow, the second example is the eyebrow being filled in to create the correct eyebrow shape, the third eyebrow is the victorious eyebrow.
